Our work with JTI and other companies focuses on uncovering the hidden and not so hidden trade in illicit tobacco, pharmaceuticals and vapes across the globe. Combining HUMINT with qualitative and quantitative research we’ve published several studies exposing the widespread abuse within the international trade of tobacco and other products from both a regulatory, fiscal and end user perspective. We look at how consumers changing attitudes are driving the demand for illicit products and the methods by which organised criminal activity is adapting to take advantage of new technologies, weak regulation, and law enforcement. Our research frequently covers markets across the globe from the USA, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
